GEEKOM IT13 Max Review: Core Ultra 9, Intel Arc Mini-PC

The GEEKOM IT13 Max combines a Core Ultra 9 185H, Intel Arc graphics, broad connectivity, and solid esports and lighter gaming performance in a compact desktop. It handles everyday work well, although buyers should consider whether the tested configuration's soldered memory and 500 GB SSD will be enough over the long term. Our review unit includes 24 GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 500 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, with a current sale price of $799.

Connectivity is extensive: four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A on the front, two more USB-A at the rear, two USB4 Type-C, two HDMI 2.0, and dual 2.5 Gb Ethernet ports. Wireless comes from an Intel BE200 card supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Internal storage includes one M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot and a secondary M.2 2242 SATA slot.

Compared with the GEEKOM IT13, the Max upgrades to Intel Arc graphics, Wi-Fi 7, and dual Ethernet, but lacks a 2.5-inch SATA bay and, in our LPDDR5 configuration, upgradeable memory. Two versions are available at the same $799 price: 24 GB LPDDR5 (soldered) or 16 GB DDR5 SODIMM (upgradeable to 96 GB). Buyers must weigh newer architecture against higher cost and the memory trade-off.
