At CES 2026, Razer unveiled the Forge AI Dev Workstation, a high-performance desktop designed for local AI development. This move marks a strategic shift for the gaming hardware giant, targeting developers who prioritize data sovereignty and wish to bypass recurring cloud subscription costs. The system is engineered for heavy workloads, supporting up to four professional-grade GPUs from either AMD or NVIDIA, workstation-class processors, and extensive DDR5 memory.

To power these components, it features a robust 2000W power supply with dual-PSU options and industrial-grade cooling. The launch is complemented by AIKit, an open-source toolkit compatible with over 280,000 large language models (LLMs), and a partnership with Tenstorrent. This collaboration brings a portable Thunderbolt AI accelerator for laptop-based workflows, which can be daisy-chained for added power.

The Forge serves as a versatile solution, functioning as a standalone tower or a rack-mounted unit for scalable, on-premise infrastructure.
