NVIDIA RTX 50-Series GPU Prices May Rise 20-30%

NVIDIA's RTX 50-series GPUs could face another significant price increase, with consumers potentially paying 20-30% more in 2026. This follows previous reports of rising costs for GPU kits sold to OEMs, largely driven by the AI boom's strain on the DRAM supply chain.

A report from Taiwanese publication, Economic Daily Times, indicates this would be the third price hike for NVIDIA in 2026. Crucially, the increases appear to affect the entire RTX 5000-series, not just high-end models. However, higher-end GPUs are expected to see steeper price jumps as DRAM constitutes a larger portion of their Bill of Materials (BOM) cost.

This trend could negatively impact the PC market, with projections suggesting a 10-20% decline in overall hardware sales. Despite this anticipated sales drop, hardware vendors may still experience increased revenue due to the higher prices.
