A lawsuit filed against Comcast alleges a store manager in Plainville, Connecticut, implemented a "policy" where the lowest-performing salesperson each month was tied to a chair and had a cream pie smashed in their face. Plaintiff David Figueroa claims he was hired in February 2026 and supervised by store manager Sully Fuentes Peterson, who allegedly designed this ritual to boost sales and customer survey scores.

Figueroa resigned on February 27, alleging constructive discharge and negligence by Comcast. The suit claims the company "failed to properly supervise" and should have known about these "public assaults." Comcast has stated it "disagree[s] with the claims in the complaint and its characterization of the alleged events" and has "zero tolerance for harassment, humiliation, or any behavior that compromises a respectful and safe workplace."

The lawsuit further alleges that these "assaults were videotaped" by Peterson, who ordered staff to participate and record the events. Figueroa claims he witnessed a co-worker, Ty, being assaulted and another employee, Jania, also subjected to a pie assault. Figueroa is seeking compensatory damages for economic losses and emotional distress.
