NVIDIA has officially responded to follow-up questions from TechPowerUp regarding its new DLSS 4.5 technology, specifically addressing feature availability and functionality. The most critical clarification is that the new Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, capable of up to 6x frame rates, is an exclusive hardware feature for the upcoming GeForce RTX 50-series. This means RTX 40-series (Ada) owners will not receive even a limited version of this specific feature, highlighting a clear generational performance divide.

Furthermore, NVIDIA detailed the user-controlled '240 Hz Mode.' Contrary to automatic detection, the feature requires user initiation within the DLSS Override settings. Users can choose to target their monitor's maximum native refresh rate or manually input a custom FPS target, offering granular control over performance balancing. These answers confirm that DLSS 4.5 introduces significant, hardware-dependent advancements that will strictly differentiate the next generation of graphics cards from the current lineup.
