NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation Launches March 31

NVIDIA announced that DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation will launch for RTX 50-series GPUs on March 31, 2026. The feature allows the Blackwell gaming GPUs to dynamically adjust frame generation rates between 0 and 6x based on display capabilities and target frame rates, optimizing performance and latency.

This technology builds on NVIDIA's Multi Frame Generation system, which can generate up to five AI-rendered frames for every traditionally rendered frame. The RTX 50-series initially supported 4x MFG at launch in early 2025, but NVIDIA increased this to 6x with the DLSS 4.5 update that introduced a second-generation Transformer AI model for improved motion vector prediction.

The feature will be available through the NVIDIA App for supported games and is designed to reduce latency by opportunistically lowering the MFG factor when needed. At GDC, NVIDIA also announced that DLSS 4.5 will support at least 20 upcoming AAA game titles, marking a significant expansion of AI-enhanced gaming capabilities for RTX 50-series owners.
