MediaTek has unveiled its Genio IoT platform expansion at Embedded World 2026, introducing the premium Genio Pro series alongside Genio 420 and Genio 360 platforms. The Genio Pro targets high-performance applications including autonomous mobile robotics, commercial drones, and edge AI devices, built on TSMC's 3nm process with Arm v9.2 architecture.

Genio Pro delivers up to 260K DMIPS compute performance with an Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU offering 3.1 TFLOPS. The platform's 8th generation MediaTek NPU provides over 50 TOPS of generative AI acceleration, supporting large language models up to 7B parameters at 23 tokens per second. This positions MediaTek to compete directly with Qualcomm and NVIDIA in the AIoT space.

The expanded Genio family addresses multiple market segments. Genio 420 offers 7.2 TOPS AI performance with 16GB LPDDR5X memory, while Genio 360 delivers 6-8.5 TOPS for value-tier devices. Production timelines span from Q1 2026 sampling for Genio Pro to current sampling of the Genio 360 series.
