Logitech is reportedly preparing a new iteration of the G Pro X2 Superstrike gaming mouse. According to a leak via the Pericord Discord server shared by @jakeufps, the device is expected to launch at Logitech G Play in September.

While rumors are unconfirmed and physical changes remain unknown, the leaker suggests the mouse will not receive a full Hero 3 sensor update. Instead, it will feature an upgraded MCU and tweaks to the HITS haptic feedback and adjustable actuation system.

Since the original X2 Superstrike launch, more competitors have entered the magnetic mouse switch market. Consequently, gamers are calling for improved skates and a redesigned shell to reduce weight and ensure the second-gen model isn't as front-heavy.
