DropReference, a PC hardware comparison and build-planning platform attracting more than 200,000 unique visitors monthly, has officially expanded to the United States. Already established among European PC builders, the platform allows users to compare component prices, create gaming PC configurations, check price history, and estimate gaming performance before purchasing.

The US launch introduces pricing from American retailers, giving users localized offers instead of converted European prices. DropReference groups matching offers around exact hardware models across categories including graphics cards, CPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage, power supplies, cases, cooling, monitors, laptops, and prebuilt systems. Historical price data helps users identify genuine discounts.

The platform offers three build modes: Community Mode for crowdsourced recommendations, Guided Mode for step-by-step assistance, and Expert Mode for manual selection with compatibility checks and live pricing. All methods provide total cost calculation, configuration saving, and sharing via public links.

A key feature estimates expected FPS across 125 games at various resolutions and settings. The GPU comparison tool evaluates two cards across specifications, current prices, and benchmarks in 130 games, including 1% lows and price-to-performance metrics. DropReference is backed by a community of over 20,000 PC enthusiasts who share builds and discuss upgrades.
