MSI has announced that its Intel 800-series motherboards now offer full optimization for DDR5 memory utilizing CXMT (Chang Xin Memory Technologies) DRAM.

Through dedicated BIOS tuning, MSI Z890 motherboards can achieve stable DDR5-8000+ speeds with CXMT modules. This advancement applies to a range of MSI boards, from high-end overclocking models to mainstream 4-DIMM configurations. MSI focused on improving memory training and timing optimizations for CXMT ICs, validating these enhancements through extensive stress testing.

Specific validations include DDR5-8600 on the MEG Z890 UNIFY-X with dual 24 GB CXMT modules and DDR5-8200 on the PRO Z890-S WIFI with dual 16 GB CXMT modules, both passing rigorous stress tests. This follows MSI's earlier achievement on AMD platforms, where they were the first to enable DDR5-6800 for CXMT memory. These optimizations are being integrated into MSI's "MEMORY TRY IT" feature, simplifying high-frequency memory overclocking for users.
