Hyper Dash, the VR PvP boomer shooter from Triangle Factory, will shut down on November 1, 2026. The studio announced the game no longer generates enough revenue to cover server and maintenance costs. Third-party software dependencies prevent open-sourcing or community hosting.

The final update released July 27 enables completely offline play, though limited to single-player since community servers aren't possible. Triangle Factory has halted all DLC sales and granted every player 6,000 free in-game credits for skins. Players can continue online until the November shutdown.

Unlike Highguard, which became unplayable immediately after server closure, Hyper Dash's offline support is viewed positively. The decision comes amid growing pressure from the Stop Killing Games movement advocating consumer protections in the EU and California. No studio closure or staff cuts have been announced.

In their farewell message, the team called Hyper Dash their longest-running game (2019-2026) and thanked the community. They encourage players to return for final matches before the servers go dark.
