1047 Games announced it will end development on both Empulse and Splitgate: Arena Reloaded due to insufficient revenue to cover dedicated server costs. The studio stated neither game generated enough income to sustain operations, despite continued financial support to allow growth. This follows layoffs after Empulse's launch.

On September 3, both titles will transition to peer-to-peer hosting with built-in server browsers, enabling players to host their own matches. 1047 Games will release one final map for Empulse and reduce its price globally, after which the game will receive no further updates. The studio emphasized this is not the end of 1047 Games, confirming a shift in focus from shooters to a "very different" project. While the next game remains unannounced, the team intends to apply lessons learned to future development.
