Geekom Removes Malware-Infected Legacy Mini PC Drivers

Geekom's legacy mini PC drivers for A7, A8, AE7, AX7 Pro, and AX8 Pro models were found containing malware flagged by Windows Security as a trojan capable of executing attacker commands. Security services including VirusTotal, FileScan, and MetaDefender verified the threats on Reddit. The manufacturer removed the affected legacy LAN driver page and issued an official apology, attributing the issue to an outdated resource that was not properly removed from older pages.

Geekom confirmed current driver pages are clean and the malware does not affect hardware or pre-installed operating systems. Users who downloaded the flagged driver are advised to delete the file, run a full security scan, and reinstall drivers from trusted sources like Windows Update or the official Realtek website. The company is tightening resource-management processes to prevent recurrence and recommends downloading drivers exclusively through the SUPPORT section on their official website.
