At the 2026 International CES, Japanese electronics maker EPSON unveiled the world's first projector powered by Google TV and Gemini AI. The announcement highlights two models: the Lifestudio Flex Plus Portable Lifestyle and the Lifestudio Grand 4K PRO-UHD Ultra Short Throw Laser projector. The portable Flex Plus utilizes a 3-Chip 3LCD Triple Core Engine, delivering 1,000 lumens for both color and white brightness.

This integration of Google TV eliminates the need for external streaming devices, offering direct access to apps. For gamers, the device features an Auto Low Latency Mode that automatically activates when consoles are connected. Connectivity is robust, including HDMI and a USB-C port for video and power delivery.

Users can manage settings via the Epson Projection Studio App. Priced at $999.99, the Lifestudio Flex Plus comes with a two-year warranty. This move signals a major convergence of home entertainment and smart home ecosystems, challenging competitors to integrate advanced AI and OS capabilities directly into projection hardware.
