Remedy Entertainment's CONTROL Resonant finally has a release date, launching September 24, 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are live now for both digital and physical editions. The sequel arrives nearly six years after the original's acclaimed debut, continuing the Federal Bureau of Control's supernatural saga.

The story follows Dylan Faden, portrayed by Sean Durrie, who steps into his missing sister Jesse's role as humanity's last defense. A new form of resonance joins the existing Hiss and Mold phenomena, warping Manhattan through mysterious cosmic forces. Creative Director Mikael Kasurinen emphasized themes of identity, power, and sacrifice as Dylan navigates distorted realities while learning to trust others.

Returning characters Simon Arish and Emily Pope rejoin the cast alongside newcomer Zoe de Vera. Remedy positions this as their most expansive title yet, with GeForce NOW cloud gaming support available at launch. The Mac version will arrive later in 2026 via Steam and App Store.

This sequel addresses long-standing fan demand while expanding Remedy's shared universe. The original CONTROL's success on Game Pass and critical acclaim sets high expectations, making Resonant a significant title for Microsoft's gaming strategy.
