Remedy Entertainment unveiled new gameplay details for CONTROL Resonant during today's PlayStation State of Play showcase. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 supernatural action game features protagonist Dylan Faden battling corrupted enemies called Resonants in a twisted version of Manhattan's West Incursion Zone. The gameplay footage, running on PlayStation 5 Pro, showcases the game's gravity-defying environments and Dylan's shapeshifting melee weapon, the Aberrant.

CONTROL Resonant expands upon the original's formula with larger, more explorable zones filled with side activities and hidden encounters. The Aberrant weapon transforms into multiple forms, giving players versatile combat options as they unlock new abilities throughout the game. Gravity Anomalies create areas where physics breaks down entirely, requiring players to adapt to shifting orientations and perspectives as they navigate the environment.

The game is scheduled for release in 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Mac via Steam and the App Store. Annapurna Pictures is co-financing and co-producing the title as part of a strategic partnership with Remedy Entertainment. This marks Remedy's continued expansion into larger-scale development following their success with the original Control and upcoming titles like FBC: Firebreak.
