Remedy Entertainment has narrowed the launch window for Control Resonant, its upcoming narrative action sequel, to "the end of Q2'26" in recent investor filings. This places a potential release around May or June of 2026, confirming the game's simultaneous launch across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and macOS platforms.

The sequel branches off the original game's story, following protagonist Jesse's brother Dylan Faden as he confronts a reality-warping entity in Manhattan. Designed to be accessible for newcomers, Resonant will evolve the first game's combat and exploration. This approach aims to capture a broader audience beyond the 5 million copies sold by its predecessor.

Remedy projects strong sales, forecasting 1.8 million copies for Resonant in 2026 and 2.2 million the following year. With Annapurna Pictures co-financing and co-producing, the studio is betting on the franchise's unique blend of supernatural horror and third-person shooting to maintain momentum in a competitive market.
