The new maps are available free to owners of Quake on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles. This follows the remastered version's success. However, recent reports indicate significant layoffs at id Software amid Microsoft's Xbox reorganization, though Machine Games—the primary force behind new Quake content—has not been as deeply affected yet.
