Fairphone 6+ Now in the US for $650

Fairphone’s newest model, the Fairphone 6+, finally lands in the US at $650. Previously only available via imports, the phone now ships directly from Fairphone and will hit Amazon soon. It runs a stock build of Android 16 with full Google services and comes with a promise of seven years of updates.

The key appeal is its modularity. Unlike most phones that need adhesive removal and fragile glass, the Gen 6+ opens with two rear screws and a single T5 torx driver. Users can swap the battery, cameras, USB‑C port, display, and more without tools beyond the driver.

There are 12 replaceable parts, ranging from an $8 SIM tray to a $90 OLED screen assembly. Fairphone also offers a case, a lanyard, and back panels that add a card holder or finger loop.

Fully unlocked for T‑Mobile and AT&T, the phone is IP55 rated—protected against splashes but not deep immersion. With its straightforward repair process, the Fairphone 6+ gives consumers a sustainable, long‑lived alternative to mainstream devices.
