Thermal Grizzly has launched a de-lidded version of the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, the company's latest 16-core, 32-thread Zen 5 gaming CPU. The brand has sold de-lidded and re-pasted AMD and Intel processors since 2025, previously offering the Ryzen 7 9850 X3D and Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus with liquid metal TIM for maximum thermal conductivity.

Like other Thermal Grizzly de-lidded CPUs, the Ryzen 9 9950 X3D2 includes a custom warranty of up to 24 months. The processor ships with its original IHS in the package but not installed. Instead, the company recommends using its Mycro Direct-Die, Mycro Direct-Die Pro, or High Performance Heatspreaders for direct-die cooling. Users are also advised to seal the PCB's SMDs with TG Kapton Insulation Sheet or TG Shield when applying liquid metal to prevent component damage. The AMD TG Delidded AMD Ryzen 9 9950 X3D2 carries an MSRP of $1,402.83 and is currently sold out.
