The MSI ClawLab Intel VRR Range Fix is a community project that aims to bring improved VRR support and other fixes to MSI's Claw gaming handheld series, and the project has just announced its biggest update so far, v2.2.0. In the new update for the MSI Claw A1M, Claw 7 AI+, Claw 8 AI+, and Claw 8 EX AI+, the utility adds new profiles to the MSI Claw handhelds that unlock stable VRR range of 30-120 Hz and 45-120 Hz on the Claw handhelds and adds testing profiles of up to 180 Hz to certain models.

The new testing profiles overclock the validated displays in the aforementioned claw models to 48-165 Hz, 48-180 Hz, 30-144 Hz, 30-165 Hz, and 30-180 Hz, all of which are untested and to be considered unstable and experimental. According to the dev team, whether individual panels will be able to use those profiles is basically up to a display quality lottery—that is to say it is up to chance. The ClawLab Intel VRR Range Fix 2.2.0 update can be installed following the [instructions on the project's GitHub](https://github.com/Zendo-GIT/Intel-Handheld-and-ARC-GPU-laboratory/releases/tag/claw-vrr-v2.2.0).[](https://www.techpowerup.com/img/3pWo6sQf42P5a9rR.jpg)
