XMG Pro 16 (M25) Review: Mini-LED RTX 5070 Ti Powerhouse

The XMG Pro 16 (M25) delivers high-end performance in a 16-inch chassis, powered exclusively by the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 12 GB GDDR7. Unlike its predecessor E25, which offered confusing CPU-dependent spec variations, the M25 standardizes the full feature set across all configurations.

The standout upgrade is the optional Mini-LED 2560×1600 display at 300 Hz, matching the panel in XMG's water-cooled Neo 16 series. It hits ~750 nits peak brightness with 100% sRGB coverage, delivering near-OLED punch for HDR content. The base IPS panel at ~500 nits remains solid for gaming and creative work. Wi-Fi 7 is available as a €14 option alongside standard 2.5 GbE LAN.

I/O is extensive: five USB ports (including 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 4), HDMI 2.1, mini DisplayPort 2.1, and SD card reader. Memory supports up to 128 GB DDR5 CSO-DIMM at 6400 MT/s, with dual M.2 slots (PCIe 5.0 and 4.0). The 2.45 kg system includes a 99.9 Wh battery and 280 W adapter, with iGPU-only mode boosting battery life. Starting at €2699, it competes with the Ryzen-based Apex 17 (M25).
