Prime Video has released the first teaser for "Spider-Noir," a new live-action series starring Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a private investigator and superhero in 1930s New York. The teaser comes in two distinctive versions: a black and white homage to Raymond Chandler and a supersaturated color format the showrunners call "True Hue."

Marvel created its noir line in 2009, reinterpreting familiar characters in an alternate universe set during the Great Depression. Cage previously voiced a Spider-Noir character in "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and will reprise the role in "Beyond the Spider-Verse." Co-showrunner Oren Uziel deliberately chose Ben Reilly over Peter Parker to better match the noir aesthetic.

The footage was shot digitally and processed separately to create both versions. Cage describes his portrayal as "70 percent Humphrey Bogart and 30 percent Bugs Bunny," fitting his flamboyant style. The cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Brendan Gleeson as mob boss Silvermane. The series follows Ben Reilly as he confronts his past after a personal tragedy while serving as New York's one and only superhero.
