Hamzah Sheeraz escaped with a narrow points win over Germany's Simon Zachenhuber on the Anthony Joshua vs Kristian Prenga undercard in Saudi Arabia. The judges scored it 114-114, 115-113, and 116-112 for the Londoner, who claimed the vacant WBO super-middleweight crown earlier this year. Boos echoed around the arena after the 12-round contest.

Sheeraz acknowledged a below-par performance, saying he was "switching off at times" and needs a step up. He plans to watch Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez challenge Christian Mbilli on October 31. "I got the win, that's all that matters," he said.

Josh Kelly overcame a horror gash to his nose from an 11th-round head clash to secure a unanimous decision over Ireland's Caoimhin Agyarko in an IBF Light-Middleweight title fight. Scorecards read 115-112, 115-112, 114-113. Kelly, nicknamed 'Pretty Boy', was left bloodied but did enough.

Kelly called for a unification bout with unified 154-pound champion Jaron 'Boots' Ennis. Promoter Eddie Hearn, who represents both, said a U.S. clash is a real option for a three-belt unification. Agyarko vowed to become the first Black Irish world champion.
