Hamzah Sheeraz captured the vacant WBO super-middleweight title with a second-round stoppage against Alem Begic in Egypt. The 26-year-old Londoner dominated from the opening bell, breaking down the 39-year-old German with sharp jabs and body hooks before a left hook to the body sent Begic down. He failed to beat the count.

On the same card, Jack Catterall scored a dominant unanimous decision over unbeaten Shakhram Giyasov to claim the WBA 'regular' welterweight belt. Catterall dropped Giyasov inside two minutes and never relented, rocking him in the sixth and eighth rounds as blood flowed. Scores were 118-109, 119-108, and 116-111.

Sheeraz now targets a 2027 fight with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, who was ringside. Catterall, meanwhile, faces a mandatory challenge from WBA 'super' champion Rolando Romero within 180 days. Sheeraz called out all 168-pound contenders, while promoter Eddie Hearn said he wants a full title shot without delay.
