Manchester City have announced Phil Foden has signed a new four-year contract keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2030. The 26-year-old academy graduate, whose previous deal expired next summer, said: "Committing my future to City means everything to me. Playing for this club is all I've ever wanted to do."

Foden has made 369 appearances and scored 110 goals since his 2017 Champions League debut against Feyenoord. Last season he played 50 times, scoring 10 goals with seven assists. He expressed excitement about working with Enzo Maresca again, noting: "He was brilliant during the Treble season - someone all the players respected."

Alongside departed legends John Stones and Bernardo Silva, Foden is the club's most decorated player with 20 major trophies, including six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, three FA Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup. As senior players move on, he looks forward to "the next phase of my career at this great club."

City's summer business includes record signing Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116m, Jeremy Monga from Leicester for £10m, and departures including Bernardo Silva to Real Madrid on a free transfer and John Stones released.
