Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden is aiming to "repay" the faith shown in him by the club as he seeks a "fresh start" under new manager Enzo Maresca. After scoring 19 goals during City's 2023-24 Premier League title win, the 26-year-old has struggled to find form, failing to score in his last 31 appearances for club and country.

Despite these struggles, Foden signed a four-year deal to remain at the Etihad Stadium until 2030. The academy product, who has made 369 appearances for City, expressed excitement about working under Maresca, whom he knows well from his time in the academy and as an assistant.

Foden, who is now "fully fit" following injury issues, believes the team can still achieve "amazing things." Despite losing key figures like Pep Guardiola, he maintains that City possesses an unbelievable squad capable of winning everything next season.
