Manchester City have confirmed that Jérémy Doku has signed a new five‑year contract, keeping the winger until 2031 with a possible extra year. Doku joins teammates Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov in long‑term deals this summer. The 24‑year‑old played 47 times last season, netting eight goals.

Meanwhile, City are in talks with Saudi side Al‑Qadsiah over a potential transfer for Tijjani Reijnders. Negotiations involve a package worth more than £50 million. Reijnders arrived at the Etihad from Milan last summer for £46.5 m and also made 47 appearances last season. Sources say the club will look to replace any midfielders that depart before the deadline.

There is growing speculation that Rodri may move to Barcelona, while the club values him at over £60 m. Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernández is also on City’s radar, but Chelsea have set a Friday 5 pm deadline for bids of £坊120 m.

These moves highlight City’s ongoing squad optimisation as the Premier League season progresses.
