Myles Garrett Trade to Rams and Odell Beckham Jr. Giants Return

The Cleveland Browns traded defensive end Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for pass rusher Jared Verse and a 2027 first-round pick. Garrett coming off a record-breaking season with 23 sacks, joins a Rams squad that reached one game from the Super Bowl last year under Sean McVey.

Cleveland's move follows a dismal 5-12 season and a strained relationship between Garrett and new head coach Todd Monken. To facilitate the deal, the Browns restructured Garrett's contract to defer $29m in bonus payments, though they still face a $40m hit over the next two years.

Meanwhile, the New York Giants signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., marking his return to the team that drafted him in 2014. Beckham returns after a year-long absence following a six-game suspension for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy during the 2025 season.

Beckham reunites with head coach John Harbaugh after a stint with the Baltimore Ravens. While he once recorded three consecutive 1300-yard seasons, his recent production dipped to just nine catches for 55 yards in nine games with the Miami Dolphins.
