Myles Garrett's Browns Contract Extended with New Terms

The Cleveland Browns and Myles Garrett have finalized contract modifications to his four-year extension, resolving a standoff that began last year. The changes adjust option bonus payment windows from March 15th to seven days before each regular season, giving Cleveland more cap flexibility while benefiting Garrett with modified bonus structures. Additionally, $8 million of his 2029-2030 base salary was converted to roster bonuses early in each league year.

These adjustments create mutual advantages: the team gains annual cap space flexibility, while Garrett secures improved payment timing and bonus conversion. Garrett, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, set a single-season sack record with 23 last season and previously won the award in 2023.
