Giants test Odell Beckham Jr. again amid receiver injuries

The New York Giants held a second offseason workout for Odell Beckham Jr., sources told ESPN. The 33‑year‑old returned to East Rutherford after a brief April tryout and a recent appearance at the Brian Burns celebrity softball game. Giants officials also invited veterans Juju Smith‑Schuster, Braxton Berrios and Anthony Miller to the same session, a move prompted by a spate of injuries at wide receiver.

An Achilles tear to Gunner Olszewski during organized team activities left the Giants shorthanded, while Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton continue rehab on knee and core injuries. Coach John Harbaugh has spoken with Beckham multiple times this month, saying the first workout “went well” but that the team will evaluate his health and role through the remaining OTAs and mandatory minicamp.

Beckham, a former first‑round pick who logged three 1,300‑yard seasons for New York, now eyes a reduced role that could see him mentor rookie Malik Nabers rather than dominate the depth chart. After a quiet 2024 with Miami—nine catches for 55 yards—he told the New York Post he still has “unfinished business.” Giants will decide by training camp if his presence justifies a roster spot.
