Alpine's Pierre Gasly has lost his third-place finish from June's Monaco Grand Prix again after his penalties from the race were reinstated following a successful appeal by McLaren and Red Bull. It means Red Bull's Isack Hadjar reclaims third place with McLaren's Oscar Piastri back into fourth. Gasly is reclassified in seventh place with Racing Bulls' Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad fifth and sixth respectively.

The June 7 race was won by Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli with Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton second. Gasly had originally finished third on the road in Monaco but was relegated down the order immediately after the chequered flag by two unserved five-second time penalties for pit-lane speeding. Alpine subsequently won a right of review case five days later which restored Gasly to third after presenting evidence the stewards agreed was a 'significant and relevant new element' regarding an incorrect distance calculation in the pit lane, showing the Frenchman was in fact not speeding.

McLaren and Red Bull subsequently appealed Gasly's reinstatement to the FIA's International Court of Appeal, with a hearing held in Paris on August 25. In a statement released after the Court of Appeal's verdict, the FIA said it is reviewing the methodology and operation of the current Formula 1 timing system and related regulatory matters, including judicial procedures and appeal processes, while affirming its support for the stewarding process and the independence of steward panels.
