McLaren Racing confirmed its appeal to the FIA International Court of Appeal, arguing the revised decision creates sporting inequity. Mercedes is also pursuing a right of review, though the team awaits FIA feedback on whether their request is admissible. The controversy stems from the fact that while Gasly's penalties were overturned, other drivers had already served similar penalties during the race.
