Zoe Thompson, 14, has signed a name, image and likeness deal with Nike, joining sisters Alyssa and Gisele Thompson as Nike athletes. Four years after her sisters made history as the first high school athletes to sign NIL deals with Nike, Zoe is following in their footsteps. "I'm excited to join the same brand as my sisters," Thompson told ESPN. The midfielder is entering her freshman year at Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles and plays for Tudela FC, Legends FC, and the Santa Clarita Blue Heat. This spring, she received a callup to the U.S. under-15 national team. "It just felt right," Thompson said about signing with Nike. Her mother Karen Thompson noted that Nike always kept an eye on Zoe and that there's now buzz about her potentially being just as good or better than her sisters.

In May 2022, Alyssa and Gisele Thompson signed the first NIL deals as high school athletes for Nike, made possible by California's laws allowing student-athletes to participate in NIL deals. Both elder sisters play for the United States women's national team - Gisele, 20, plays defender for Angel City FC while Alyssa, 21, plays forward for Chelsea FC.

Zoe doesn't plan on going pro before graduating high school and hopes to play in college. She expressed that while being the younger sister brings pressure, it also gives her confidence knowing her opportunities are earned through hard work. Nike's senior director of brand marketing in LA, Ian Shepard, praised Zoe's passion for the game and commitment to growth.

"We're thrilled to welcome Zoe Thompson to the Nike family," Shepard said in a statement.
