Cristiano Ronaldo has declared his commitment to Saudi Arabia after resolving a dispute with Al-Nassr that kept him out of two league matches. The 41-year-old Portuguese forward, who joined the Saudi Pro League club in 2023, scored twice in Saturday's 4-0 victory over Al-Nazem, moving his team to the top of the table.

The controversy stemmed from Ronaldo's frustration over the Public Investment Fund's financial support for Al-Nassr compared to rivals Al-Hilal. Sources told ESPN that Ronaldo was particularly upset that PIF did not invest in his team while Al-Hilal pursued Karim Benzema. The dispute ended when Ronaldo's demands were met, including restoring management authority to club executives and paying overdue salaries.

Ronaldo's return to form comes as he pursues his goal of reaching 1,000 career goals, currently standing at 964. With his contract extending through summer 2027, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner appears settled in Saudi Arabia despite earlier tensions. His performance against Al-Nazem demonstrated that the resolution has him back on track both personally and for his team's championship ambitions.
