Chelsea Set Friday Deadline for Enzo Fernández

Chelsea have set a Friday deadline for any clubs wishing to meet(Window) a £120 million valuation of Enzo Fernández.

The Blues are adamant that no bids will be considered after 5 p.m. UK time on Friday 14 August, with the club keen to end speculation over the midfielder's future ahead of the new season. Real Madrid publicly distanced themselves from a move for Enzo Fernández, who had previously expressed his fondness for the Spanish city and was fined and suspended by Chelsea.

Sources close to Chelsea say no offers will be considered after the deadline, believing interested parties have had 60 days to make a formal bid. Manchester City also shows interest, though negotiations are ongoing with no immediate end in sight. Fernández’s agent Javier Pastore confirmed in July that he was “looking at possibilities to leave Chelsea,” but no club has tabled a formal bid or indicated a willingness to match the Blues’ valuation.

Chelsea’s asking price reflects a desire to surpass the £107 million fee paid for Fernández in February 2023, and the club is ready to work with him under new manager Xabi Alonso if no transfer is agreed.
