Cristiano Ronaldo scored his third consecutive goal since returning from a self-imposed boycott to lead Al Nassr to a 5-0 demolition of bottom-side Al Najma on Wednesday. The Portuguese star opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the seventh minute, with Kingsley Coman and Iñigo Martínez adding first-half goals to stake the hosts to a 3-0 lead at the break.

Sadio Mané scored early in the second half, prompting manager Jorge Jesus to withdraw his star players, including Ronaldo, who now has 20 goals in the Saudi Pro League this season. The victory was Al Nassr's SPL-leading 19th of the campaign, putting them on 58 points from 23 games with just one league loss all season. They hold a two-point lead over second-placed Al Ahli.

The win marks Ronaldo's return after missing matches against Al Ittihad and Al Riyadh earlier this month due to frustration over the lack of financial support during the recent transfer window. The Portugal star was reportedly unhappy with the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) for failing to invest in the team while rivals Al Hilal, also majority-owned by PIF, brought in his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema.
