Galatasaray have made a €45million ($51.8m) bid to sign Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal, sources have told ESPN. The 26-year-old has been available for several months as the Gunners look to upgrade the left-side of their attack. Arsenal previously explored moves for Vinícius Júnior before he renewed with Real Madrid, while Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola and Chelsea's Pedro Neto remain alternatives under consideration.

Arsenal already signed Christos Tzolis for €40m ($46m) from Club Brugge this summer to replace Leandro Trossard, who joined Besiktas for €20m ($23m) last month. Martinelli has one year remaining on his current contract—worth approximately £180,000-a-week ($242,000)—but the club holds an option to extend for another 12 months. It remains unclear whether the player would be willing to join the Turkish club, as personal terms are yet to be discussed.

The Brazilian featured at this summer's World Cup and has played 191 times for Arsenal, scoring 41 goals since joining from Ituano in 2019 for £6m ($8m). Sources indicate Arsenal are shifting toward a trading model this summer, with outgoings expected as they build on last season's Premier League title—their first in 22 years. Ben White could be allowed to depart, especially if Arsenal pursue a deal for Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa.
