Como coach Cesc Fabregas has apologized for making contact with AC Milan player Alexis Saelemaekers during Wednesday's 1-1 Serie A draw at San Siro. The incident occurred in the 78th minute when Saelemaekers, attempting to defend against a Como counter-attack, appeared to collide with Fabregas near the touchline.

The 38-year-old Spanish coach raised his right arm and made contact with the Milan defender, prompting an angry reaction from Saelemaekers. Both coaches, Fabregas and Massimiliano Allegri, exchanged words on the sidelines, with Allegri shown a red card. Fabregas publicly apologized after the match, calling the contact "probably unsportsmanlike" and promising to learn from the incident.

Fabregas had already apologized to several Milan players including Luka Modric, Mike Maignan, and Saelemaekers. The result left Milan second in the Serie A standings, seven points behind leaders Inter. Allegri, 58, criticized Fabregas's behavior, suggesting young coaches need experience to mature in such situations, while acknowledging Fabregas's potential for future success.
