Cristiano Ronaldo began his 25th professional season by scoring his 977th career goal as Al Nassr defeated Al Riyadh 4-0 in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.

The 41-year-old Portuguese forward, who recently returned from the World Cup and his wedding, came off the bench in the 62nd minute under new manager Ange Postecoglou. With Al Nassr already leading 3-0 through goals from Abdulelah Al-Amri, Ângelo Gabriel and João Félix, Ronaldo expertly converted a low cross from Aiman Yahya in the 83rd minute.

The goal marked Ronaldo's 130th goal for Al Nassr across all competitions since joining the club in December 2022. His latest strike brought him closer to the historic 1,000 career goal milestone.

Ronaldo had missed Al Nassr's opening league match against Al Fateh and their King's Cup victory at Al Diriyah earlier in the week. His return to the squad signals a renewed focus as he pursues more records and potential selection for future international tournaments.
