Carolina Hurricanes announced winger Seth Jarvis will miss the start of next season after undergoing shoulder surgery. The 24‑year‑old led the club with 32 goals in 71 games and posted a 0.93 points‑per‑game pace. Management expects his recovery to take 4-6 months and be ready.

Jarvis contributed four goals and seven assists in 19 playoff games, but his production dipped during the championship run. He recorded a goal and two assists in the final against Vegas before coach Rod Brind’Amour shifted him to the third line, limiting his ice time.

General manager Eric Tulsky also revealed forward Eric Robinson faces up to eight weeks on the sidelines after knee surgery. The double blow opens a roster spot for prospect Bradly Nadeau, who logged three goals in 12 games last season and could earn extended minutes while Jarvis recovers.

Without their top scorer, the Hurricanes enter defense mode with a thinner offensive core. Aho will shoulder greater responsibility, and the coaching staff must adapt line combinations to compensate. Jarvis’ absence will test Carolina’s depth, making the early stretch of the campaign a true gauge of their resilience.
