Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said the team has interest in signing free-agent cornerback Terrion Arnold after a weekend meeting and workout at team headquarters. Arnold was released by the Detroit Lions in late June after being arrested on felony charges for robbery and kidnapping in Tampa.

"It's enough right now that we had him in for a great visit, a great tryout," Macdonald said. "We're working through the situation. I really enjoyed meeting him, and we'll see where it goes."

Arnold, 23, faces four counts each of kidnapping and armed robbery, with a potential life sentence. He posted a $1 million bond and is confined to his Tallahassee residence except for football or court. The Lions drafted him in the first round in 2024.

Macdonald said the Seahawks will continue due diligence, noting that respected people in Arnold's corner vouch for his character. The team has a need at cornerback after losing Riq Woolen; Noah Igbinoghene and Nehemiah Pritchett are competing for the No. 3 job. Arnold has one interception and 18 passes defensed in 24 career games.
