Cornerback Terrion Arnold, recently released by the Detroit Lions after facing multiple felony charges, plans to sign a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks, sources told ESPN.

Arnold, 23, is accused of orchestrating a kidnapping and robbery in Tampa, Florida, in February, facing eight felony charges. He was released by the Lions, who drafted him 24th overall in 2024, after posting a $1 million bond. His next court date is a disposition hearing on October 5.

Arnold is expected to compete for the Seahawks' No. 3 cornerback position, though his availability is uncertain. He may be placed on the NFL commissioner's exempt list. Seattle's interest was highlighted on "Hard Knocks," with coach Mike Macdonald confirming a "great visit" and workout. General Manager John Schneider discussed the potential implications of signing a player with an ongoing legal case.

The Seahawks, who lost Riq Woolen in free agency, have a need at cornerback. Arnold previously worked out for the Texans and met with the Saints and Giants before choosing Seattle. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
