Carolina Panthers rookie receiver Chris Brazzell II suffered a noncontact knee injury during Wednesday's practice and will undergo further testing, according to coach Dave Canales.

Brazzell, a third-round pick from Tennessee, had previously missed two practices due to soreness in the same knee. The injury occurred during a 7-on-7 drill, and he was unable to put weight on his foot as he was helped to a cart. This adds to a growing list of injuries for the Panthers, who recently lost pass rusher Nic Scourton to a season-ending ACL tear. Backup tight end Mitchell Evans sustained a low ankle sprain and is expected to return soon.

The team is also without starting offensive tackles Taylor Moton and Ickey Ekwonu, as well as guards Damien Lewis and Robert Hunt, due to various injuries. Brazzell was drafted to be a deep threat and complement players like Tetairoa McMillan and Xavier Legette. He showcased his big-play ability at the NFL combine with a 4.37-second 40-yard dash and had a productive season at Tennessee.
