Lions’ Terrion Arnold Faces Life‑In‑Prison Charges Over Tampa Robbery

Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold, 23, faces felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping that could bring life in prison. Prosecutors ordered him held without bail after a Thursday hearing in Tampa. Arnold’s defense insists no evidence links him to a February raid where three men were pistol‑whipped in a Tampa apartment, a crime tied to $250,000 in stolen property.

State Attorney Suzy Lopez warned that “no one has the right to take the law into their own hands.” The Lions issued a brief statement, saying they were aware of the situation but would not comment out of respect for the legal process. Arnold, a first‑round pick in 2024, logged 31 tackles and one interception last season for the Lions.

EAG Sports Management, whose CEO Denise White says there is no credible evidence linking Arnold, defended him publicly. Prosecutors cited testimony from seven defendants, two of whom pleaded guilty and cooperated; one received a four years sentence for kidnapping, conspiracy and armed robbery. The case underscores how off‑field legal troubles can derail a young NFL talent’s trajectory in the early season.
