Baltimore Ravens coach Jesse Minter expressed uncertainty about Lamar Jackson's participation in the team's voluntary offseason workout program, which begins April 6. Speaking at the NFL league meeting in Phoenix, Minter noted that while Jackson has had good connection points with the coaching staff, the program remains voluntary and the quarterback's attendance is unclear.

Jackson, a two-time NFL Most Valuable Player, has historically skipped most voluntary workouts during his eight-year career with Baltimore. Last spring, he missed eight of nine on-field practices before mandatory minicamp. This offseason presents unique challenges as the Ravens have a new head coach in Minter and a new offensive system under first-year playcaller Declan Doyle.

The uncertainty comes at a pivotal time for Jackson, who is coming off his first losing season as a starter (6-7) and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Despite these challenges, Minter expressed confidence in Jackson's work ethic and leadership, noting that the 29-year-old quarterback holds the best career passer rating (102.2) in NFL history and has accumulated the most rushing yards ever by a quarterback (6,522).
