NYCFC confirmed interest in signing Christian Pulisic but admits AC Milan is not interested in selling. President Brad Sims said all 29 MLS teams would want Pulisic, but "if AC Milan doesn't want to give him up, then it's dead in the water." Pulisic's contract runs through June 2027 with a club option for an extra year.

The 28-year-old from Hershey, Pennsylvania has 33 goals in 90 appearances but is coming off a disappointing World Cup where he failed to score and fractured his right leg in the round of 16 loss to Belgium. After scoring 10 goals in his first 15 appearances for Milan last season, he endured a career-worst 19-game scoreless streak.

Sims also announced the delayed opening of NYCFC's Etihad Park for July 17 next summer, starting the 2027-28 season as MLS aligns with European calendars. The 25,000-seat venue adjacent to Citi Field will also host Gotham FC beginning in 2028.
