The Atlanta Braves announced BravesVision as their new local television home beginning with the 2026 season. The team will oversee production, sales, marketing and distribution of more than 140 games, marking a significant shift from traditional regional sports network arrangements.

This move comes after several MLB teams, including the Reds, Royals, Marlins, Brewers, Cardinals and Rays, opted to have their broadcasts produced by Major League Baseball following payment disputes with Main Street Sports Group. The Braves chose to control their broadcasts independently rather than partner with MLB's production arm, which will handle at least 13 teams this season.

Braves president and CEO Derek Schiller emphasized that bringing telecasts "back under the control of our organization" will resonate with fans who remember watching games on TBS when it shared ownership with the team. The Braves are finalizing partnerships with cable, satellite and streaming services, with broadcasts available on MLB's streaming platform. A "select number" of games will air free on Gray Media's Atlanta stations and across the Southeast, with spring training games also covered.
