Notre Dame is set to honor Green Bay Packers history with its new uniforms for the 2026 Shamrock Series game against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field. The Fighting Irish will wear deep blue jerseys with sleeve stripes reminiscent of the 1920s "Acme Packers" era, paying homage to a century of shared tradition between the two programs.

Coach Marcus Freeman highlighted the historical connections, including Paul Hornung's success with both Notre Dame and the Packers, and Curly Lambeau's brief stint playing for Knute Rockne. The uniforms feature a block-shaped number design inspired by Hornung's era and a custom mesh texture forming the Packers' oval G emblem within the numbers. An American flag patch commemorates the nation's 250th anniversary, and 11 shamrocks on the collar represent Notre Dame's national championships.

Notre Dame has a tradition of success with its Shamrock Series alternate uniforms, holding an undefeated record in these special games. The unveiling adds another layer to the historic matchup at Lambeau Field, connecting two storied football legacies.
