World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul captured her first LPGA Thailand title in an emotional victory at her home tournament in Chonburi. The 23-year-old Thai star held her nerve under sweltering conditions to card a closing 4-under 68, finishing on 24-under-par 264 to edge Japan's Chizzy Iwai by one stroke.

Thitikul's victory marked her eighth LPGA Tour title and her first triumph on home soil after eight previous attempts at the event. The win was particularly special as her mother watched in person for the first time, with Thitikul describing it as "A triple-plus" - more meaningful than some majors. She became the third Thai winner of the tournament, following Ariya Jutanugarn and Patty Tavatanakit.

The tournament, held about 125 kilometers east of Bangkok, was the first of three consecutive Asian events on the LPGA Tour. Korea's Kim Hyo-joo finished third at 22-under, while defending champion Angel Yin struggled to a tie for 48th place at 5-under par. Thitikul's emotional victory underscores her dominance in women's golf and the growing strength of Asian players on the global stage.
